Young People’s Counselling
Freshwinds delivers counselling – a safe and comfortable talking therapy – to help reduce the levels of stress and anxiety that individuals aged between 14 and 25 feel.
Forward Thinking Birmingham (FTB) is an extension of the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) programme designed specifically to support those between the ages of 14 and 25.
Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) is an NHS programme rolling out services across England offering interventions for treating individuals dealing with depression, stress and anxiety troubles.
Peace of mind knowing that even after critical care there is maintaining support.
Services offered through this programme:

Criteria for Access to the programme:
- Client must be aged between 14 – 25
- Client must be registered with a GP in any Clinical Commissioning Group in Birmingham (to find your CCG, please click here)
- Client must be experience high degrees of Stress and/or Anxiety
- Client must complete (over the phone) a very short set of questions with a Freshwinds’ Administrator to determine whether they qualify for IAPT treatment
